Amanda started her aviation journey inspired in part by her late father. She earned her Private Pilot certification in July 2021 and is actively working on her Instrument rating as we prepare for the race. Amanda owns Leading Edge Aircraft Detailing and also works as an Aviation Maintenance Planner at Wheels Up Aviation at Rocky Mountain Metro Airport (KBJC). She serves as Secretary on the Board of the Colorado 99's (a local chapter of the International Association of Women Pilots) and is aspiring to a long-term career in aviation. She brings detailed planning skills and a healthy dose of competitive spirit to our team.
Alaina was also inspired into aviation by her dad, who flew as a Captain in the corporate flight department at Lockheed Martin. She began flying in 2014 and earned her Private Pilot certificate in 2016. In 2021 she earned an Instrument Rating, which she said was much harder to achieve than her MBA in International Business Management. She has built a career as a Marketing leader for tech startups but wants to continue learning and growing in aviation for the sake of personal growth.
